The West Midlands relays returned after a 3-year absence.  This year it was held at Hednesford Camp and thanks go to Walton Chasers for hosting what can be a complex event. 

Well done to everyone that turned out for POTOC - we fielded 5 teams and were the 2nd best represented club. There were no Junior classes contested as due to an unfortunate date clash nearly all West Mids juniors were away in Wales competing in the Junior Inter-Regional Championships.

The best performance on the day was from our senior mens team of Andrew Rowe (1st leg), Martin Pigott (2nd leg) and David Dunn (3rd leg) who won their class by over 8 mins. Our team of Alex and Ianka Evans plus Elizabeth Bales was 3rd in the same class. In the Super Vets class John Pigott, Geoff Hollins and Marian Denham were 3rd. Sadly our 2 other teams mispunched.

With competitor numbers in this event continuing to decline perhaps it is time to have a combined Midlands Relay or change it to a sprint format.
