'POTOC is a small club but efficient and well organised so everything ran smoothly on the day. The last two controls I checked were either side of the road at the northern crossing point. Maybe I was tired, cold and wet but failed to notice they were transposed and on the wrong sides. As some competitors had already passed through it was decided to leave them in situe and forewarn competitors as they approached. It was a timed out crossing so nobody should have lost time.

I hope that you all enjoyed the challenging courses planned by Ryan and Gordon, despite the intermittently miserable weather.  

Thank you for heeding my last minute plea to share cars to ensure we could park you all.  I was surprised by how much empty space there was on the car park at 11:30.  At our last event in 2023, with a similar entry number, we had filled this car park and the public ones too.

As ever, I am indebted to the teams of willing POTOC helpers who make my job so easy on the day.  I can run in the full confidence that everything is under control.

Park Hall is an area which has changed a lot over the last three decades as the vegetation matures.  Sadly many control sites have been lost, but the changes have created new interesting orienteering challenges.  I hope you will come back to future events at Park Hall.
