Thanks to all those that participated in and helped out at the double sprint event at Hanley park. Hopefully you enjoyed your courses in a surprisingly pleasant park.

You will likely have been aware of some of the technological gremlins that we experienced on the day. The key learnings for us are that: 

• in this format the start SI unit will not register if a dibber is (intentionally) not cleared; and 
• that v5 and v8 SI dibbers contain a maximum of 30 controls - which reduces to 26 if controls are being used for the two starts and finishes. 

As a result we have had to do the following to the results.

• The split between the start and control one on each course has had to be zeroed, essentially meaning that the results start at control 1 on each course. 
• For the three people that completed the long sprint on v5/v8 dibbers, we have had to generate synthetic control splits for the final three controls (based on the ratio of the elapsed time to the leader at that point). Whilst this is not perfect, it is the best we can do with the recorded information that we have.

Apologies that the results do not reflect the full courses. We’ve logged the issues for next time and are confident everything will be fully resolved at any future double sprint event.
